SULO Talbot Official Opening
The SULO Talbot manufacturing facility in East Tamaki, Manukau City, was officially opened on the 3rd of October 2008 by The Right Honorable Helen Clark. The official opening invited surrounding councils, along with local members of parliament and local businesses to experience a SULO Talbot factory tour.
During the tour, guests had the opportunity to view first hand the injection moulding machines that would manufacture Christchurch City Council’s wheelie bins. 450,000 wheelie bins will be rolled out to Christchurch residents for the new 3-bin collection service commencing in early 2009.
During the opening ceremony following the tour, Helen Clark presented the official plaque to Michael Huston, SULO Australia’s Managing Director and Steve Wilson, Talbot Plastics General Manager.
